Set your investment goals

Carlo Palomino recommends chalking out your investment goals before taking any major investment step. Set up your investment goals considering your age, cash flow, monthly expenses, life circumstances, and your financial health.

Become an early investor

Earlier you begin investing, the bigger the returns in the long run. The thumb rule for investment is ‘Investment compounds over time’. That’s why Carlo Palomino recommends putting your funds into action.

Learn about investing

The wise men say, ‘don’t jump into the pool without measuring its depth’. Because you are new to investment, study the basics first. It’ll help you make coherent decisions. Carlo Palomino recommends learning about stocks, bonds, mutual funds and certificates of deposits.

Automation in investment

There are broking firms that offer automated investments. If you invest with them, you need not worry about switching your funds as the market moves. By doing this, you also avoid stalling and can consistently invest in the market.    Carlo Palomino highly recommends automation after you have had some experience!

Look at your finances

Check your current financial state before investing in the market. Make sure you have left enough in your pocket to bear your monthly expenses & emergency needs. The mantra is to save first and invest later!

Never keep all the eggs in the same basket! If you ask Carlo Palomino, diversifying your portfolio is the smartest thing to do in the initial years. New Jersey especially is a goldmine to invest your money in, be it real estate, businesses or anything else. So, DIVERSIFY!

Study your portfolio

Continuously study and update your portfolio! What’s good right now may not be that good tomorrow. Carlo Palomino recommends all new investors to invest in the right fund at the right time rather than going to sleep after buying.

New Jersey has a state seashell and it’s the knobbed whelk. Carlo Palomino loves seafood and suggests that you should also try it at least once!

Did you know that New Jersey has its own volcano? Volcano experts believe that the Beemerville volcano went out about 440 million years ago. The real estate surrounding the volcano has become a hot commodity nowadays. People have built houses all the way up the slope, right to the summit. Talking about real estate, Hanover and Whippany counties are the hottest selling in the entire NJ right now.

The Statue of Liberty is kind of in New Jersey and also kind of in New York. The land on which the statue stands is owned by the state of New York, but the waters surrounding the island belong to Jersey City. Now, that’s something people of the entire New Jersey must be proud of.

Why is Carlo Palomino proud of New Jersey? History knows that NJ played a crucial role in the Revolutionary War. Far more battles were fought in New Jersey than in any other colony, and not to mention, General George Washington’s won the battles of Trenton and Princeton in NJ too!

This is one of my personal favorites. There are more horses per square mile in NJ than any other state. Speaking of horses, do you know that horses don’t sit unless they have an injury in one of their legs?

People of New Jersey are true foodies. Just like Carlo Palomino, they love dining out and exploring restaurants. This is especially true of Hanover and Whippany. Despite its small size, New Jersey has a big appetite. New Jersey is often called the “diner capital of the world”, thanks to the hundreds of classic diners that dot its roadways network.

Carlo Palomino’s Investment Guide 2020 (New Jersey Real Estate)

After studying the latest investment trends and conversing with investors in New Jersey, we still feel strongly that real estate is still one of the best investments. Those who know Carlo Palomino (the real estate investor from New Jersey) will know this is something he has been passionate about for over a decade.

Being a real estate investor in places like New Jersey isn’t always glamorous but it is one of the best ways to create wealth through assets over the long run.

If you ask Carlo Palomino, real estate makes the hottest selling investment portfolio as it offers you:

  • Steady income
  • Long term financial security
  • Tax benefits
  • Cashflow
  • Real estate appreciation

Carlo Palomino has curated 5 best ways for you to invest in real-estate and earn handsome profits! Let’s start learning:

New Jersey Rental properties

This is an investment option as old as the practice of land ownership. Under this, you buy a property and rent it out to a tenant. The owner (landlord) is responsible for paying the mortgage, taxes, and maintenance of the property.

Carlo Palomino has been investing in real estate for quite some time and from his personal experience in New Jersey, he recommends investing in rental property. It will help you pay your loan instalments if you are able to manage the property and your tenants properly.

The drawback of renting out your property is the amount of time and work you have to devote to maintenance. If you don’t want to do it yourself, you can hire a professional property manager to handle repair scheduling, maintenance, rent collection, etc.

NJ real estate investor group

There are many real estate companies working in New Jersey that have access to purchase properties at a discount. They source funds from other investors to purchase these properties, re-stabilize them by repair and rehabilitation, then find quality tenants. This added value allows for increased appreciation within 12-36 months depending on the project. If you don’t want to acquire a big property on your own, invest in a real estate investor group (just like Carlo Palomino).

Real Estate Flipping in New Jersey

Carlo Palomino has been a real estate investor in New Jersey for a long time and started by flipping houses. He believes that real estate flipping is ideal for people who want to make some money on the side without working full-time on it.

There is a short investment period in flipping which can be most luring detail of this investment option but this depends on various factors and market conditions.

Carlo Palomino recommends this investment option to people who are well acquainted with real estate valuation and marketing. Because hot markets can cool unexpectedly. Consulting an investor expert would be wise.

Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)

For people who want to become real estate investors without a traditional real estate transaction, this investment type is best recommended by Carlo Palomino. All you need to start this business is the investment capital.

What are REITs? They are essentially dividend-paying stocks whose core holdings comprise commercial real estate properties with long-term, cash producing leases.

When it comes to REITs, Carlo Palomino suggests playing it safe! Because they are essentially stocks, the leverage associated with traditional rental real estate does not apply. If you are looking for 100% safety, invest somewhere else.

Work with real estate investor in New Jersey

This is Carlo Palomino’s favorite.

Carlo Palomino believes the real estate rates in New Jersey will likely rise which makes now a good time to purchase a real estate investment.
